Jim and Carol Beazley 1910 First Street Napa, California 94559
Jim and Carol,
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! I will be back again! Below is my final review for your records.
Beazley House This elegant mansion nestled on the outskirts of downtown Napa, California has more to offer than most Bed and Breakfasts. I will describe the hospitality, the cleanliness, and the rooms I lodged in during my stay. Overall I give this a superior rating because it is based on overall experience and just not one single moment. I recommend anyone traveling to Napa for a weekend getaway to make reservations in advance and to go to the Beazley home.
1. Cleanliness = 5 2. Friendliness of Staff = 5 3. Knowledge of staff = 5 4. How well do they know the history of the B&B = 5 5. Breakfast = 4.5 6. Overall experience = 5
The Review – The home is pleasant but most importantly I felt as if I were in my own home in wine country. The hospitality of the Beazley House has to be one of the finest experiences I have ever had at a Bed and Breakfast. The staff was very accommodating, offering to make reservations for me at local restaurants, and recommended wineries to visit, and other attractions. The one thing I appreciated about the Beazley Home was that they were proactive and have a tenacious fervor about them to ensure that your are happy. After all it is a family operated business, which gives you an overall great experience. The Carriage House- I stayed three nights and requested that I stay in three different rooms; each room has its own unique personality.
The Enchanted Rose: A aery large room with a King bed, Jacuzzi (6’), small kitchen, and fireplace, AC, shower; vaulted ceilings adds more character to the room and a large closet to store your personal belongings. A spectacular garden view and a small private courtyard just outside of the room for your enjoyment.
The West Loft: A smaller, quaint room, that is probably my personal favorite. This room features a King bed, a cedar lined bathroom with Jacuzzi (Gave me the feeling that I was in a Sauna), fireplace, AC, and a view of the Garden room patio. I called this the red room because of its majestic color and dark cherry furniture.
The Garden Room: This room was about the same size as the west loft room but had a huge bathroom; mostly for the wheelchair access. The room has its own private courtyard and gave me a feeling of complete privacy it also has access to both the Beazley back yard and the parking lot. Queen Bed, fireplace, AC, and white whicker furniture, with a spa, although it was a smaller one (5’), you can easily fit two people and enjoy a nice romantic evening together.
The Mansion – Immaculate, clean, well kept grounds are only the few things to note with this grand humble home and minutes from downtown Napa and Copia (A center that celebrates wine, food and the arts.) Don’t forget to get your complimentary soda, tea, or sherryand enjoy an evening, beofre or after dinner, in the living room; enjoy the ambiance and relax If you arive on Friday clear your schedule around 6 pmand enjoy boutique wine tasting in the Beazley living room! This is also a great way to meet the other guests in the home and pass on some good conversation. The Mansion also offers Spa services and free wireless internet access.
Jim and Carol Beazley - Their claim to fame is that they are the first Bed and Breakfast in Napa; over the years they listened to the concerns of their guests and have made modifications and changes to tend to the needs of the guest. In an effort to unite the B&B’s of California, they founded the CABBI (California Association of Bed and Breakfasts).
It was a pleasure to meet the Beazley’s and I hope that my travels will bring me back to their wonderful house where I can enjoy their hospitality.
